Located in Gurgaon’s sector 52 Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity and Botanical Park is one of the few big park.
It is spread over an area of about 2 acres and has a jogging track of 1 km inside. The paths are clean, the lawns are mowed, the plants are well maintained and of course trash cans are readily available.
With a nominal entry fee of Rs 5 (free for senior citizen) this lustrous park can be enjoyed. It is open from 5 AM to 6 PM
As the name suggest it is in real sense a bio diversity park with huge variety of plants and trees. There are as many as 18 different plant sections well labelled and easy to identify.
This park also has around 23 sections like Gymnosperm section , Arboretum Section , Angiosperm section , Bamboo section , Haryana trees section , Medicinal section , Curiosity section , Palm Section , Economic Section , Buffer plantation , Aromatic Section , Xerophyte section , Religious section Rose section , Nursery section , Rare plant section , Endangered plant section , Fern house , Plant conservation , lawn section, lily pool , green house etc.
Small board nailed on trees with number on it, shows that they’ve been planted in an organized manner. No wonder they are so well kept and healthy.
There are benches placed all around the garden where you can sit and relax.
This place is a gathering ground for the fitness freaks- young and young at heart. Leave alone weekends, on weekday mornings the park is a filled with runners and walkers. People are seen doing yoga and exercises. People are seen enjoying the quiet of the place.
Park visit is never complete without a cup of Wheat grass juice sold outside the park.
